Anthony Woods aboard Seahog Sealord "Excalibur" with a typical small Tope approx.25lb taken west of Lune Bouy

Tope are a regular catch during the summer months with fish regularly taken to 40 lb plus.  Action can be hectic with catches upwards of 30 fish per trip.  Fishing should be limited to two rods per boat as regular multiple hook-up are not uncommon especially when packs of males are on the prowl.

Best Area : West of Lune Buoy.

Safety Note: Caution must be exhibited when fishing this area, there is a lot of commercial traffic passing though including the latest generation of high speed supercats.  Radar Reflectors and sharp eyes are a must.
