Launching is from the slip way directly outside the Fylde Boat Angling Club clubhouse.  Boats are normally prepared for launch on the upper promenade and transported, using the club tractors, down the slipway and on to the beach.   For safety, the clubs normal practice is to always have at least two tractors out and running during all launching and retrieval operations.

In recent years a vast amount of stone shingle has collected at the slipway and generally leaves an area of stone free of water for safe launch and retrieval except on the highest of spring tides.

Trailers are parked on the lower promenade in front of the clubhouse which adds extra security.
